Knights win first playoff game!

Let’s start with... Zone clearing pass from Smeeton to Tyler, ice is sticky so puck gets caught in Tyler’s feet so he KICKS it to Ryan, Ryan accellerates to the net and goes top shelf! That was awesome. Tyler told me the ref said at the faceoff that she thought the coaches were more excited than the players. OK – guilty!

On the whole though, that was what I would call a ‘shaky’ start for our dudes. Love a win however we get them. Mike E saved us from some serious lapses that gave a weaker team some open looks. And hey – there is nothing wrong with your goalie winning one for you every once in a while but... The boys are going to have to relax into their game and play at the level they can if we want to get through these playoffs.

So, I feel like there have been a zillion e-mails where I was saying the guys played better than the other team and lost. There is some measure of satisfaction to be able to say they really didn’t play any better than the other team but they got a WIN! I love that.
